Tuesday Pairing Dinner w/ Guest Winemaker Matthew Rorick!
Tuesday June 16th
On his 75 organically farmed acres in the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento, winemaker Matthew Rorick of Forlorn Hope Winery is rightfully respected as a leading pioneer for low-intervention winemaking in California (no chemical adjustments, additives, commercial yeasts, bacteria). He is also a champion of forgotten, neglected and off the beaten path varieties that he crafts into blends that have textural presence and distinguishing character. We were blown away by our recent tasting of 5 unique, small production wines and ecstatic to hear that Matthew could be here for a pairing adventure at Rosedale Restaurant in New Orleans next Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30pm. Join us for this eclectic journey with 5 wines (a white, rose, orange and 2 light reds) from his "Queen of the Sierra" label, which are light, fresh, vibrant and perfect for the heat of summer. As is customary, Executive Chef Allison Birdsall and Sommelier Michelle Gueydan are still perfecting a pairing menu that will shine with these creative wines, which will be posted by Thursday. However, don't wait to grab your seat, as our last 2 dinners sold out in 48 hours. $147 pp, inclusive of gratuity.
